Position Description

We’re looking for a full-time Director of Engineering to lead our global team of developers. You will be accountable for the design and delivery of production-grade software that supports tens of thousands of interactions with patients and providers each day. You will establish leading engineering practices to guide development across Salesforce, data integration platforms, and other cloud-based services. You will play an instrumental role in building an engineering culture that upholds our values to Act as One Team, Own the Outcome, Default to Open, Learn Through Feedback, and See the Whole Person. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams in Salesforce development, clinical data integration, and patient relationship management.

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Lead a global team developers and integration engineers to land major releases of our practice enablement platform
  • Serve as principal technical collaborator with growth and operations (patient care) teams to enable workflows that realize the potential of our people and technology
  • Build and mentor a high-performing technical team, including preparing individual team members to step into team lead roles
  • Implement and iteratively improve our tools and practices for high velocity, high reliability software development
  • Architect the end-to-end integration of Salesforce components with third-party services and tools, including with electronic health records as primary source systems
  • Proactively evaluate new features and offerings both within and beyond the Salesforce ecosystem, developing actionable recommendations for incorporating new technologies

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a software engineer, with at least 2 years of experience in a significant managerial role, preferably in an early stage tech company
  • Foundational knowledge of Salesforce administration and development
  • Experience building transactional and analytics data platforms with real-time integrations into electronic health records
  • Significant experience structuring devops tools and processes, with proven impact on product velocity and reliability
  • Track record of mentoring and developing technical team members, helping them consistently broaden their scope of responsibility
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to inform and influence by conveying the “so what” of complex technical concepts to non-technical, executive level stakeholders
